Let us take you somewhere special. We're very excited about this one. We've teamed up with Imbibe Magazine as part of their #ReThinkRioja promotion, and we wanted to do something a little different. Above the crypts of Humble Grape Fleet Street, and right at the foot of the gorgeous St. Bride's Church, is a hidden little outdoor space. This summer, we're turning this secret garden into an urban grotto, perfect for the Humble Grape Supper Club. A week after the summer solstice, join us for a wine dinner in magical surroundings.* Four courses of fantastic Spanish food, flickering fairy lights and flagons of fantastic Rioja (six accompanying wines to try). Summer's here. Let's Rioja.

Every season hath its pleasures; Spring may boast her flowery prime, Yet the vineyards ruby treasures Brighten Autumns soberer time. Thomas Moore Our November tasting is all about those autumnal wines that you would love to drink while cuddling by the fire, after a walk in the woods, or following a rugby match. The wines that truly warm your soul. Stories include how a family made top bubbles from a jumbled-up Burgundy plot, a former rugby player who won a coveted oenology (wine science!) award, and physicist-turned-winemaker who works tirelessly to keep his precious grapes out of reach of the wild boar. Perhaps it will be a fruity chardonnay that takes you halfway to heaven, a silky pinot noir from an environmentalist and political junkie, or a white wine for people who only drink red wine. Whatever it is, prepare to be pleasantly surprised.

At the heel end of the day, I need my glass of wine. Christmas lights for the brain. Bill Callahan For the festive period, our tasting will focus on wines that you'd love to buy as a last-minute gift for your mum, dad or another special person in your life. These are the wines that you€ would™ find on the Humble Grape members Christmas table the bottles you would open when you want to close the year on a high note. Christmas is all about friends and family, and we are bonkers about sharing all the incredible stories of our Humble wine makers (as with all our tasters). You could find yourself sampling the nutty and nostalgic sibling of the Riesling, a delicate golden gem from entrepreneurs carrying on a 300-year-old legacy, or a classic boutique wine from a UNESCO World Heritage site. Or how about a rugged and ready red that always seems to overcome the arid adversity of its surroundings, as if to say what does not kill you makes you stronger (thats a theme that fascinates us wine lovers). Our bars will be transformed into stunning Christmas scenes, as always, so do come along and join in the fun.

Tapas and wine two of lifes greatest pleasures, in our Humble opinion. And is there a better time to enjoy both as winter looms and daylight almost becomes a precious commodity in the UK? Thats why we are hosting a special tapas & tasting with Ronell Wild, a formidable lady, and Humble Hero Wine Maker at Bartinney. These exceptional whites and reds hail from the breathtaking Bartinney estate in the mountains of Botmaskop in the Banhoek Valley of Stellenbosch, South Africa. The estate was acquired by the Jordaan family in 1953, who reawake the charm of this historic land of leopards and honey badgers. Smell the scents of freshly cut herbs, chocolatey roasted coffee and others that lift you halfway to heaven. These wines really do taste just as beautiful as the landscape they came from. (We may even play the Lion Kings a Circle of Life as we present these wines)
