What is Ancestor Healing? At Jung Shim we understand that our energy levels can be affected by the lifestyle we lead, our physical environment and emotional patterns. Yet, we also believe that people’s energy can be affected by the history and energy of their family. This we call karma and it is this that Ancestor Healing looks to resolve. We inherit our physical features through our genetic make-up, but in our energy system emotional patterns, memories and health issues can be imprinted and carried forward to future generations. Ancestor healing is a profound and spiritual course offered at Jung Shim to clear inherited energy patterns that can affect our life, wellbeing and relationships. The programme uses energy and sound (vibration) and is rooted in the ancient Eastern practice to respect our lives and those of our ancestors. As increasing numbers of people strive for a healthier and happier life through dietary changes, self-development and spiritual work, people still find they have ailments and negative emotions that they are unable to change. Ancestor Healing can often be the process that helps people to achieve the changes they are looking for and heal their family patterns. Join us for an informative evening on a topic very relevant to our personal lives and to the world today.

Andy Leek is the artist behind Notes To Strangers. A street art project created in an attempt to make a positive difference to people's days. Since its early days, when the notes were hidden in copies of the metro and left on seats for commuters to discover, Andy has taken it world wide, sticking up notes on the streets of Amsterdam, LA, San Fransisco, Berlin, Paris, Munich, Vienna, Bali, Bordeaux, Gothenburg, Swansea, Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Oxford and many more cities. The project continues to evolve - from a collaboration with major brands like Diesel, to 'Notes To Strangers' the book which is in the works. The talk will be the complete story of how this project came to be. A meandering combination of both successes and failures, highs and lows and of course, one or two run in's with the police.
Think of any film that you loved and it is nearly always the main character that stays with you they are engaging and believable. Presenter Kira-Anne Pelican calls this Deep Characterisation. Learning to create deep characters is one of the hardest skills writers need to develop. It is not helped by the fact that many of the best-known approaches to characterisation are over simplistic and based on pop psychology.
