Students will spend time exploring different ways to create marks and surface textures on their silver ring or choose the have plain finish. You will be working with a D shape silver wire, with the option of adding Rose gold detail at an extra cost.

This is a perfect class to introduce a keen crafter into the skills used in Silversmithing. This Stacking ring workshop includes annealing, hammering, stamping, filing and finishing. Students will also be introduced to piercing and soldering methods.

What you need

Equipment: The workshop is fully equipped with everything that's needed throughout the day, with each student having their own Jeweller's Bench Peg, Steel block and Piercing saw.

The Host

J & J Workshops are run by Jordanne and Jodie who met whilst studying Material Practice at Brighton University. They aim to help their students tap into their creative side through Jewellery making workshops. The one day classes are really good fun and are packed with lots of skills. Every student takes home with them beautifully hand crafted silver jewellery and often they surprise them.
